Acupuncture at Blossom Wellness Clinic in Orangeville, Ontario, with a Registered Acupuncturist trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Fine, single-use needles are placed at selected points, and cupping or tuina may be used alongside them depending on what you have come in for.
Acupuncture uses very fine, sterile, single-use needles placed at selected points on the body. Most people are surprised by how little they feel — the needles are far finer than those used for injections, and often the sensation is a dull heaviness rather than anything sharp.
Your practitioner takes a full history first, in the Traditional Chinese Medicine framework as well as the everyday one. Cupping and tuina may be used alongside the needles. Needles usually stay in for a period while you rest, and you are checked on throughout.
The needling is similar; the purpose of the appointment is not, and neither is the way insurers usually treat them. Check what your own plan covers before you book.
Our booking page describes strategic needling of the face along with red light therapy, and states it can be provided by our naturopath or our acupuncturist.
A separate 60-minute appointment with Dr. Sukhman Aulakh, ND, at $125, receipted as naturopathic medicine rather than acupuncture. Your plan may treat the two differently.
Still deciding? Send us a question and describe it in a sentence — we would rather point you to the right appointment than have you book the wrong one.
